Short answer

What XPipe is
XPipe is a desktop application — Windows, macOS, Linux — that treats every remote system as a node in a tree. Add an SSH host and it discovers what lives inside: Docker containers, LXC and Proxmox VMs, Kubernetes pods, WSL distributions, even nested SSH hops. Click any node and it opens a session in the terminal you already use, or a file browser that feels like a native one. Connections and secrets sit in a local encrypted vault; the paid tiers add team sync and enterprise features.
It is well-built, fast, and honest about what it is: a client that makes reaching machines effortless. It does not install anything on the server, and it does not need to — it speaks SSH and the Docker/Kubernetes CLIs on your behalf.
What Servor is
Servor is a hosted console with a small agent on each server. The agent dials out to Servor over WebSocket; your browser talks to the agent through that tunnel. The console gives you a terminal, a file explorer with an editor, scheduled commands, eleven kinds of monitors with alert rules, incidents, public status pages, 150+ verified recipes and an AI copilot — for every server in the team, from one tab.
The part that shapes everything else: Servor's backend cannot run a command by itself. Each command is signed in your browser with a key derived from your vault, relayed verbatim, and verified by the agent before execution. The vault is zero-knowledge — we hold ciphertext we cannot open.

Where XPipe wins
- Heterogeneous estates. Proxmox nodes with a dozen VMs, Kubernetes clusters, WSL on the same laptop — XPipe sees through all of it. Servor manages Linux servers and what runs on them; it detects a Kubernetes cluster but does not manage it.
- Your terminal, your keys. If you have spent years on your tmux and shell setup, XPipe respects it. A web terminal, however good, is still a web terminal.
- Nothing installed on the server. Some environments forbid agents. XPipe needs only SSH.
- Offline and air-gapped. A desktop tool works on a network that never reaches the internet. A hosted console does not.
Where Servor wins
- The server is watched when you are not there. XPipe closes with your laptop. Servor keeps collecting metrics, running checks, and pages the right person when a threshold flips.
- No inbound port.Every server in XPipe needs a reachable SSH endpoint — public, VPN or bastion. Servor's agent connects outward; a server behind NAT with port 22 firewalled is a first-class citizen.

A common setup: Servor as the source of truth for what is happening — monitors, incidents, status page, cron, the shared audit trail — and XPipe on the laptops of the people who prefer a native terminal for long sessions.
